Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza

The third point of the Golden Triangle — a private collection so comprehensive it fills the historical gaps in the Prado and Reina Sofía, running chronologically from 13th-century Spanish panels through Impressionism to Pop Art in one continuous walk.

Unlike the Prado and Reina Sofía, the Thyssen is arranged as a single chronological route across three floors, which makes it easier to see start to finish in around ninety minutes without missing anything. It's usually the quietest of the three Golden Triangle museums, even midday. Free entry applies Mondays 12:00–16:00, in a rotating exhibition of the permanent collection.
