El Junco Jazz Club

A relaxed, unpretentious jazz and swing club near Chueca with live music most nights and a late DJ set that turns the small dance floor over to funk and soul once the band packs up. A local favourite rather than a tourist checkbox.

Live sets usually start around 22:30–23:00, followed by DJs into the early hours — arriving for the live music and staying for the DJ set is the typical full night here. The room is small, so a seat near the stage is worth arriving early for on nights with a well-known act. Entry is often free before a certain hour, with a cover applying later or for bigger-name shows.
